Officially named the 3-Line Rifle M1891, the Mosin rifle is one of the highest produced military rifles in existence, with over 37 million made. Through their long lifespan they have been in use by first the Russian Empire, then the Soviet Union, followed by all of their satellite nations as well as seeing use by many nations across the world as surplus and wartime aid. This example is one of the most plentiful produced, the M91-30, the standard rifle of the red army until the adoption of the SVT44, but was often found being modified into a marksman’s rifle. An oddity on this particular rifle are the modern laser etched markings and pinned rear sight, this was a modification done in Ukraine for civilian sale or for civil guard use. Overall condition is excellent, having likely been worked over before it was imported to the U.S.
