The Remington Model 14 was developed as an alternative to Winchester’s popular line of lever action hunting rifles and was later improved into the Model 141. This example is a transitional model made in 1935 and is distinct in its use of left over Model 14 22″ barrels and the lack of a “Gamemaster” stamp on the receiver as well as a unique serial number that is separate from the rest of the production run. Overall condition is good for its age, with no significant wear to the stocks, but moderate loss of bluing on the metal parts which is common for early nickel steels.
