The Savage model 95 and subsequent model 99 were the first hammerless lever action rifles and the addition of the rotary magazine allowed them to use the new spitzer design bullets. This takedown model, made in 1922 is in fair to good overall condition, showing no major faults but significant wear. The stocks appear to have been refinished due to the condition of the checkering and how proud the metal is around the buttplate and receiver. There is quite a bit of finish wear to the barrel and receiver as well as moderate pitting throughout the barrel.
